Making (and using) a Temporary Honey Press - and using it!

A note about this video. It is the first one with narration so production values are not up to what I'd like but I'm new to this and working on it and it WILL get better! (It just takes money.)


It's time to extract honey from the combs but because we don't have a centrifuge, I'm going to make a quick and temporary fruit press. After the pressing the operation was moved into the greenhouse for straining, where it was over 100 degrees F which aided in making the honey flow better. After the honey is extracted I take the press apart and use the wood to make a bee box.
